Chain 32.
Row 1-4 : Half Double Crochet 31. Chain 2, turn.
Row 5 : Double Crochet 3 times into first stitch to create a small shell. Skip one. Double Crochet 3 times into the third stitch. Skip 1. Repeat this pattern down the row. Chain 2, turn.
Row 6 : Skip 1. Half Double Crochet into stitches 2 & 3. Skip 1. Half Double Crochet into the next 2 stitches. Skip 1. Repeat this pattern down the row for a total of 31 stitches. Chain 2, turn.
Repeat steps 3 & 4 three more times.
