Most of my days are spent in my humble, little home. It’s here that you can find me caring for my home, playing with my toddler and baby, and spending time with my husband (when he isn’t busy at work).

A woman who focuses on caring for her home and family is often referred to as a homemaker. That, my friend, is a title that I proudly wear.

Being a homemaker is a great and humble calling. A calling that the Lord has graciously led me into.

I realized this calling shortly after I married my husband. As a new wife, I found myself burdened with a great question:

“As a wife and as a Christian woman, how am I supposed to live my life in a way that glorifies God?”

And, then this question led to another one:

“What does a Christian woman look like?”

Glorifying God in the role that He has given me is my #1 priority in life. So, I had to find the answers to these questions.

I began to research these topics and came back to the Lord in prayer time and time again.

Now, I’m not saying that I know all of the answers. But, I did learn 3 very important things:

1. Femininity is beautiful and it should be embraced (even if our culture tells us otherwise).
2. The best way for a wife and mother to serve the Lord is to serve her family.
3. As women, it is our primary responsibility to create a home that reflects the beauty of God and serves as a refuge from this crazy world.

As the Lord laid these three truths on my heart, I began to pursue them in everything that I did.

The pursuit of being feminine, serving your family, and caring for your home is the way in which you are called to serve the Lord as a woman, a wife, and a mother.
